TriBeCa Care’s exclusive senior-friendly travel voyage embarked on a truly special and soul-enriching journey to the enchanting destination of ISKCON Mayapur. Nestled in the serene surroundings of Sri Navadvipa Dham, this hallowed place holds profound significance as the birthplace of Lord Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. As the largest Hare Krishna community in the world, it exudes a captivating aura of devotion and spirituality.

The recent trip to ISKCON Mayapur organized by TriBeCa Care was a momentous occasion, marked by the presence of 30 enthusiastic senior travelers who embarked on this soul-stirring pilgrimage. 

The journey commenced at 8.45 am on the 25th of July and concluded at 9 pm on the 26th of July, giving the visitors ample time to revel in the spiritual aura of this sacred place.

Activities and Delightful Experiences

The itinerary of the trip was filled with activities that left everyone mesmerized. A visit to the renowned Sri Mayapur Chandrodaya Mandir, famous for its captivating deity worship, enchanted all the guests. The intricate rituals and heartfelt devotion on display touched the hearts of those who witnessed them.

Accommodations during the trip were provided in a luxurious hotel conveniently situated close to the ISKCON Temple, ensuring a comfortable stay for all.

Guests were treated to sumptuous meals, with delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner provided throughout the journey. The delectable food not only satisfied the taste buds but also nourished the souls, complementing the entire spiritual experience.

Elders’ Perspective

The elder travelers expressed immense satisfaction with the trip. They appreciated the well-planned itinerary, the comfortable accommodations, and the warm hospitality they received. 

When asked about their experience during the trip, the senior member enthusiastically responded, “We thoroughly enjoyed the journey and would love to have you accompany us on future tours. – It brought us immense joy and contentment.“

Another couple shared their long-standing desire to visit Mayapur, but they were unable to find a suitable travel organization for seniors to accompany them due to their age. So, they “thanked us“,  as their dream has finally come true, and they are cherishing every moment of this wonderful experience.

The Morning Japa Program: A Highlight

Among the various events during the trip, one that deserves special mention is the Morning Japa Program. This cherished project of ISKCON Mayapur has been ongoing for two decades, where patient and dedicated brahmacharis guide guests in chanting the Holy Name of the Lord on japa mala beads. 

In this act, Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakur beautifully captures the profound significance of chanting the verse, “Jiva doya Krishna Nama Sarva Dharma Sara,” which means “Sing loudly the Holy Name, which is the essence of all forms of religion and the ultimate act of compassion.”

The trip to Mayapur, the abode of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, was indeed a heartwarming experience for all 30 travel enthusiasts who embarked on this adventure. Laughter, joy, and unforgettable memories were woven into every moment as they explored new horizons and forged lifelong friendships.
